This is a long delayed post to thank all the study bench people who have helped made my day by celebrating my birthday on the 9th of Sept. Sorry for this late late late entry cos i didnt really have the time to blog that night as i was busy packing for Batam trip, nonetheless i hope the personal smses to all of you was sufficient to express my gratitude to all of you that day.
Haha.. ok, the birthday surprise wasnt really a surprise quite obviously becos mingyao and meiying were asking about my birthday plans and i somehow always get up to date information about the plans, but the speciality of the celebration was that although i am aware of all the plannings going on, i was still surprised on that day itself. Haha.. And because they keep asking for my taste and preferences, i feel this sense of engagement in the planning. It's like having a birthday party of my choice but not having to do anything i can be sure that everything is fully taken care of. I LIKE!
The steamboat dinner was fun, with a gathering of all the study bench people, including the ones who graduated meiying and kaifeng, and the rest of the mech eng people, kiajun, mingyao, puaybing, nia sin, chengyue. I think its the first dinner we together outside so, i think its quite memorable. Even though we dont get to sing k as previously planned due to expensive price rating on the eve of public holiday, i think you all enjoyed my "Nobody" performance at National Library. HEHE!
So after dinner, we all adjourned to national library foyer, where we celebrated jie ning's birthday in july previously and i'm suppose to play some games before i can unwrap all my surprises. So it started with having to select from 7 paper bags, some with tasks in it that i have to carry out. The first task was to sing, so i just did the "nobody" song, second was "truth", and i think until now i still owe a truth about an embarrassing moment that happen in Engine Fac. OK, i'll try and recall one or maybe if it happens in future then i will tell you all again. Then eventually i got to the paper bag with my White Addidas Jacket in it, and then a box of 21 wishes all written by the awesome people.
On the way home, i had lots of fun reading the messages, some were quite obvious that it was a desperate attempt to write something to fill up the 21 message but i still like it all the same. I felt the sincerity from the time and effort put in. Ok, so last but not least, I want to personally reply to all those who wrote the birthday wishes even though i'm not sure if they'd be reading this:

Meiy: Thanks for all the effort in making the 21 birthday wishes. I know its definitely another one of your creative ideas. I'm keeping every single thing in the box. And the additional gift, i think its seriously too expensive. I will give something in return.
Kai Feng: Thanks for coming all the way down and being part of the birthday planning. You probably couldnt make it on thurs initially, but thanks for shelving your plans aside on 9 sept. It's great to know a nice indirect senior like you!
Kiajun: Thanks for all the involvement as well, buying the present, writing the three wishes (which i can feel the sincerity in all of them). Even though your not really into celebrating birthdays, but you were spontaneously part of the whole birthday celebration, and that was nice. =) And in response to one of your wishes, I have not regretted knowing you as well even though you are annoying at times.
Mingyao: Thanks for being the "running man", coordinating the present stuff and asking my opinions for this and that. Haha.. i so hope the whole celeb didnt stress you out during that period cos everytime u come to me during lecture in the hush hush tone, it feels like you are under this 100% graded assignment. Hahaha. jkjk, but really, your efforts are greatly appreciated.
Nia Sin: Thanks for your very short birthday wishes, but although its short, its the quality that counts. I truly believe its written with all sincerity, must be very hard to think of stuff to write. Korean or English, its still words to me, i can ask my friend to translate the korean words for me.
Puay Bing: Thanks for being there at the celebration too! Well, i dont think ur a bad student just becos ur not paying attn in ME3112 lect because I dont listen to the lecturer also. And I ponned lecture on the day you were writing the birthday msg, that's worst! haha.. but its great knowing you too, being that awesome optimistic person that i always know.
Cheng Yue: Although i only got to know you last semester, its been great to have such a joyful and bubbly friend like you in Engine to brighten up my day. Haha.. and its fun to converse and learn cantonese with you, its really wonderful to have you in lectures. =)
And last but not least to all of you, THANKS FOR BEING PART OF MY LIFE IN THE LAST 2 YEARS. These 2 years wouldnt have passed so happily without every single one of you! <3>
