im sitting right here in the office with absolutely nothing to do...haha dun get me wrong, its not that im very free but im just enjoying my precious lunchtime, savouring every minute of it. Had cell yesterday, I would say that i was very encouraged by the turn out, it was one of the rare occasions i saw many people turning up. Well, after so many months of being in spirituality team, i pretty resigned to the fact that poor attendance is imminent. I used to begrudge against those who come on a very irregular basis, refusing to believe that they cannot even commit that one hour of their time. But then, i realised that this is part and parcel of life, perhaps they just dun get their priorities right but oh well, what can you do? Making it an obligation wouldnt work, neither would dragging them out of the house do justice to myself. I guess the most i could do is just to make sure that i will always be around for them, that no matter what happens, TC will always be there for you. Instinctively this was what i felt about Amplify too. I admit that i did not attend their prayer meet faithfully but each time i return, i feel a sense of belonging, like a refuge where i can seek. So i guess that's my objective when heading the spirtuality team.
Anyway, went to visit a church friend yesterday who happen to meet with an accident. It was a surprise yet not a surprise since it is not the first time we're visiting him because of injuries. Abrasions and stitches, i finally realised how dangerous riding on a motorbike is. A little nudge from another motorcyclist and its bruises all over. Sigh... there were aftereffects of visiting him as well, on my way to work today, i was extra cautious when crossing the road, the car maybe 10m away but i chose to wait until it passed before i cross. I heard from Joy that there were many petitions recently praying for the recovery of casualties from road accidents. Friends, please be careful on the road.
Back to work.
