I guess i had a rather depressing week, i was feeling rather unaccomplished and lamenting about how things weren't as smooth sailing as expected and why do i always bungle things up at work... Being the pessimistic person that i am, i cleanly forgotten about being thankful and happy for the little things that are worth celebrating for. I guess im too caught up with trying to take full control of my life (and probably even that of others) and did not allow God take the reigns. And so i attended intercessory session with a heavy heart, and while praying over the thanksgiving letters, i just couldn't understand why others could be thanking God for every little things in their life while i'm jus a miserable sad sob who feels that everything is against her. At that point, i felt really out of place, i'm not really in the mood of praising God. And to add to that entire depressing feeling, a friend of mine, Faith, shared with me about how God actually worked a miracle that morning by giving her a way out on how to get a deck of cards for her ice breaker games. It kind of struck me that how oblivious i was to His presence, and i finally realised that it was indeed the root of all my problems. If i had view things in a more positive way, i probably would have been happier and things would eventually take a turn. Instead of thinking that things could have been better, i really should be grateful that things were not any worst. But then again, this left me wondering whether is this the right attitude i should take. For all you know it might have its drawbacks later on and i would be just satisfied with mediocre standards... Crap, life is so complex, there isnt any hard and fast rule that we could follow.
