And so, this whole week is about packing, packing and more packing. Monday was my last day and i started clearing my desk last week. While i was shredding some documents and stuff, i recalled the stuff that i did in the last 7 mth or so. Well, i must say that the Joan today is rather different from the one 7 months ago. She has learnt alot, to be humble to her colleagues andnot being afraid to speak out. Of course, i feel that there is alot more i need to learnt and i have had my fair share of mistakes that i do not wish to repeat them again. I hope this working experience is enough for me not to repeat them. Well on top of that, i'm really thankful to God for letting me meet such good friends at my workplace. I really enjoyed the teabreak and lunches we had together, the laughter in the simulation room that brings life to the entire office. Oh man.. im really missing those times... Of course, not forgetting my wonderful colleagues.. i admit there were times when i am rather frustrated by the way things are done but i guess i am in no way to judge them or point out the mistakes since im far less experienced. But i think they are the best colleagues i can ever ask for.
So after i stopped working, i stayed at home and started packing up my jc notes. As i was sorting out the exam papers and notes which accumulated over the 2 years, memories of my jc life just flowed through my mind. Gosh, its like i remembered the lamest jokes that were cracked during tutorials, how we bombarded teachers(esp ms wong with chem questions), how interesting gp lessons were, doing presentations, debates and stuff, how mr chan actually lectured on the 4-D world or some law of relativity thingy (remembered the joke he shared about chicken crossing the road or the road crossing the chicken), how fun econs was during mrs than's class... gosh... can u believe it its like gone in a flash??!! Well, although i didnt really had to the chance to know my classmates better, i guess i am thankful to be able to share these 2 years with them. Of course, i MUST say that its really wonderful to know 4 great friends (sandy, kyna, jill,sq) being there through the sad and tough times, the eternity we spent at sports com talking or gossipping, cramming for exams at the library, rushing off to sakae buffet after mass pe, taking random shots at weird corners of the school. Although there might be like slight hiccups here and there, but its good to see everyone reunited and the bond of friendship jus grow ever stronger. Well, i shall use this opportunity to write a short appraisal for everyone:
Sandy: the loud-mouthed CG rep
Cool, chatty, LOUD, can be rather funny. When she speaks, everyone shuts up. Period. Shared great memories of OCIP, oh yes, she can really talk. Even to the taxi driver in China.
Shuqi: the meticulous artsy-fatsy
Neat, likes to draw(no, doodle on ppl's notes), possibly the fittest girl in class. She's often quiet in class, but that's because, she's thinking. Thinking of what (or maybe who), i dunno.
Jill: ms steady (even if the world crashes)
happy-go-lucky, but a very last minute person. Appears to have a heck-care attitude, but she does her work behind close doors. Oh yes, something that alot of people may not know, she is a committee member of Leo Club.
Kyna: Who is not so blur after all
Has very acute sense of humour at times. Often singled out for being blur (like confusing National Day with my birthdate) but can be a rather good listener. Surprised many with a gold in tkd competition.
Patricia: Man-u fan. Hard core
Comes to class with red-eyes. Because she's been watching soccer matches. Oh yes, the official Ah Long of the class, who does her accounts on a crumpled piece of foolscap. Silent killer, who does random stuff like poking people. Great PW mate.
Yimin: Teacher's encyclopedia
Knows alot about teachers. Fan of Mr Chan. Can be random, but smart.
Michelle: Ms contemplative
Pretty quiet, but wise. Can write the shortest essay but get one of the highest marks. My first aid manual supplier.
Siwei: Ms Random
Says the most unexpected things, which makes sense at times but confuses me most of the time.
Anyway, that's all folks. No offence. As for the guys, i dun really have much to write about them. Now that i've sorted out all my notes and stuff, i guess memories of my jc life shall too, be kept in this little compartment in my mind, with that another chapter of my life has ended, and when i return from Australia, a whole new chapter begins as i start on a fresh clean slate.
