I actually wanted to blog this at a time when most of my best friends are out of town cos i felt this void then, and was prompted to write this. However i couldnt finish it somehow, and now, when i want to continue this post, some of my friends are back. Anyways, i shall just continue where i left off.
For the dunman gang, growing up together in those secondary school days was memorable yet plagued with many obstacles as well. The getting use to the personalities of one another, the sharing and learning with one another be it academically or the social aspect played a big role in shaping my personality of today. I guess that's the reason why i feel so attached to them at the end of the day. Home is where the heart is, as they say, and i feel at home whenever i'm with them. haha.. touched right??
And then there was the jc clique. The 5 of us began as a group of people who couldnt quite fit into the majority(ie the dhs gang), and that was probably the only similarity between us. As time flew by, the differences grew more distinct and eventually, there was a bit of segregation but nevertheless, there was still an effort to keep the group together. And i thank God for these little episodes of gathering for if not for these, the disparity would have become larger and we might lose one another eventually. I concede that at times, there were misunderstandings in between, but at the end of the day, I believe that it is the faith and trust in one another that will keep us together. And as we grow older and our friendship matures, i came to a realisation that at the end of the day, what i truly enjoyed most hanging out together as a clique, was to talk and share with one another about our life. For that was the primary reason we began as a clique in the first place. Somehow, the get-together with just the 5 of us, beats any other gatherings with the guys around. At least, I know that when its just us, the friendship was sincere and true.
